On the western side of the Istrian Peninsula, just south of the Lim Channel, lies Rovinj, one of the most romantic places in the Mediterranean. Rooted in a rich fishing tradition, Rovinj has become known for its unique traditional boat, the batana, and the distinctive local songs known as bitinade.
