IQM Destination Vukovar: Towards Success and Better Tourism Results

“Excellent feedback from stakeholders in the IQM Destination Vukovar project confirms the justification for carrying out this initiative and gives us direction for further development, as well as indicating which segment of tourism in Vukovar has the greatest room for improvement. In that sense, we will continue to manage quality in the destination, and we expect ongoing cooperation from stakeholders, use of the tools this project offers, networking, and mutual promotion in order to maintain a high level of quality in tourism products and services in the destination,” said Marina Sekulić, Director of the Vukovar City Tourist Board.

As part of the survey and satisfaction assessment, as many as 90 % of IQM Destination Vukovar stakeholders value their guests’ opinions, and receiving quality and online reputation reports has helped them in their operations.

Ninety percent of IQM Destination Vukovar participants also believe that the marketing analyses and recommendations provided by the IQM project contain useful advice and information for their properties and businesses. Regularly publishing content on social media using current hashtags, stronger promotion of local producers, receiving reports on reviews, and advice on service and product quality are the marketing recommendations they have most often applied to their operations.

Partners in the destination and stakeholders are satisfied with the activities and objectives of this project, as evidenced by an overall satisfaction rating of 4.10 out of 5 with IQM Destination Vukovar. They also consider the project very useful for the city’s overall tourism, giving it a rating of 4.60 out of 5. Stakeholders rated the quality of communication with the project team as 4.3 out of 5, and the courtesy of IQM Destination staff received a rating of 4.50 out of 5.

Seventy percent of stakeholders are included in the IQM Pass segment, the platform for networking destination offerings and promotion.

For these very active stakeholders in Vukovar, the most valuable and useful trainings organized by IQM Destination were: “Small Hotels and Trends in Hospitality,” “Google Maps – How to Use All Its Promotion Opportunities?,” “Destination Branding, Challenges, and Examples of Best Practice,” and “Introducing the Possibility of Using an Online Booking System.”

We would like to remind you that the Vukovar City Tourist Board, together with destination partners, participates in the “IQM – Total Quality Management” project, which is based on sustainable development and networking local stakeholders in tourism. As part of the project, measurements are taken of tourist entities in certain categories throughout the city. Those measurements ultimately allow for comparisons with local and global competitors, which is also the best way to improve the quality of operations and services.
