The town of Vodice is located on the Adriatic coast, in a wide bay near the town of Šibenik. It currently has a population of 10,000. Vodice is a well-known tourist center, with over 50 years of tourism tradition. Vodice and its surroundings are rich in natural beauties, cultural heritage, archeological sites. One of the greatest Renaissance geniuses, Faust Vrančić, was buried in the church of St. Mary of Mercy in Prvic Luka, on an islet near Vodice.
